EARLY GRAVES SINGER KILLED IN ROAD ACCIDENT, THE FUNERAL PYRE ALSO INVOLVED

According to local news station KTVL "a van carrying nine members of a San Francisco-based heavy metal band lost control crashed... when the driver fell asleep, killing one passenger and injuring two others just after 05.30am Monday...None of the nine occupants were using safety restraints and the adult male victim was ejected from a rear cargo area where he and two others were." The "band" are black metallers The Funeral Pyre and crusty grinders Early Graves, and EG singer Makh Daniels was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The bands were travelling between Eugene, Oregon and Reno, Nevada when the accident happened on Interstate 5, just north of Medford, Oregon. Early Graves guitarist Tyler Jensen and The Funeral Pyre guitarist Justin Garcia, who was driving, were both injured and taken to hospital, though their conditions aren't serious.

Our thoughts are with the bands, their friends and their families.
