It's easy to want to hate My Passion. A band that has graduated with honours from the My Chemical Romance school of fashion with a sound that manages the curious merger of screamo and nu rave, the London quartet will attract and repel legions of music fans in equal measures before debut album 'Corporate Flesh Party' has even hit the stereo. What is truly most frustrating about the boys though is not their image or the inevitable hordes of screaming teenage girls that they'll leave in their wake, but the fact that they can write a fucking great hook or two.

Album opener 'Crazy & Me' is somewhat misleading as to the band's true identity as they kick off in a fashion heavy enough to wander into Avenged Sevenfold territory, but things soon start to fall into place more clearly, with ravier numbers such as 'Days Of The Bees' and 'Hot In The Dolls House' promising some epically embarrassing dance-offs in the very near future. Some smooth sample-scratching balladry courtesy of 'Winter For Lovers' eases the pace for a moment or two, but   proceedings rarely let up, and the result is an often irresistible romp through what will no doubt soon seen as the first motion in the 'ravecore' movement. You heard it here first.
