Philadelphia's Left To Vanish mix screamo-metal, hardcore and even some doom and grind to create a sound that’s at least fairly unique. Fans of Between The Buried And Me, Suicide Silence, etc will love this, there are plenty of guttural vocals, and heavy, groovy breakdowns to enjoy, and the songs never feel monotonous since the band is constantly shifting pace and sounds to a dizzying effect. However this tends to let the band down as they never lock into a groove long enough for you to enjoy, and tends to feel slightly unfocused, you wish that when they find that great riff that they would just stick to it for a few more bars. However some people might adore the band for always keeping things interesting, and at the very least the band are tight, super tight in fact.

The album sounds great thanks to the excellent Scott Hull (pig destroyer, agoraphobic nosebleed) production, boasting enough bottom end heavy to bang your head to, whilst being crystal clear at the same time. Fans of Pig Destroyer, Job For A Cowboy etc. will dig this album for sure.
