Having been around for a mere 3 years, The Blackout Argument have done very well to get this far in such a relatively short space of time.!

The sophomore release for this young band, "Remedies" proves itself to be a very strong album, chock full of catchy choruses about the struggles of life, injured hearts and souls, etc. At least they have the tunes to back it all up. As far as hardcore mosh style music goes this is a very listenable album, heavy on the melody, whilst retaining enough of those heavy beatdowns everyone has grown to know and love. The vocals make a refreshing change from the endless sea of scream/whine vocalists out there in the world, vocalist Raphael boasting some great pipes with real talent and wide range. Lovely.

The album flows nicely, with enough variety to keep things interesting, not quite sure if this is a concept album – what’s with those song titles, hidden meanings? Or it’s just mysterious for the sake of it? Anyway, a very promising young band, that are all set to differentiate themselves from the already overpopulated city of black fringes. Looking for something new? Check out The Blackout Argument!
