With a sound that has markedly developed and with a progressive path that has been aided by a collection of support slots that have involved big names such as :[S.I.T.D.]: and Aganoize and festival appearances including Wave Gotik Treffen, it is enviable how far this explosive duo have emerged into maturity in comparison to their earlier work.
Tailored almost exclusively for dancefloors and DJ boxes; where it lacks in originality, it is made up for in its palpable attempts to mimic where their idols have dared to tread in terms of musical and programmed composition. Not fearing to make it known that Combichrist et al have set a precedent, it soon becomes obvious where numbers such as the heavily armed ‘Warning’ and single ‘Bull-Fucking-Shit,’ have been derived from.
For a double act who are obviously still trying to find their feet, it is difficult to hold it against them for emulating their genre mates, especially when it is this energetic and visceral and at times totally self-assured to the point of combustion. Although this submission isn’t that unique, it is suited and booted to take the dancefloors head on, a battle that they will no doubt succeed.
